Organisational Management

Companies can model and modify their business hierarchy which reflects the relationships of employees to various business units and the reporting structure within the hierarchy.  Organisational Management is the basis for business and human resource processes.  SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes standard SAP settings for organisational and reporting structures, standard reporting, vacancy management, chief position management and account assignments.

Personnel Management & Administration

The central component of Human Resources is employee data.  Companies want to centralise and track employee data which is easy to maintain and report. Personnel Administration component provides streamlined data entry, data consistency checks, and all data carries a validity date thereby keeping a historical log. SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes Employee Personal data, Australian payroll and time compliance data, time data, Employee Life Cycle actions, flexible reporting, standard reporting and data audit reports.

Time Management

The Time Management component supports the planning, recording, administration and evaluation of employee time and labour data. It accommodates legal requirements, collective bargaining agreements and internal company policies. Time data administration can be processed centrally by human resource administrators or decentralised to individual departments. The time evaluation function helps time administrators by automatically checking and valuating time data, comparing time and labour data with company specifications, calculates bonuses, overtime and updates time records. SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes public holiday calendars, work schedules, ordinary time, overtime, leave management, interface to Kronos and integration to payroll.

Payroll

SAP Payroll accounting system is in line with Australian legal and business requirements. The component uses data from other SAP HR components (such as time management, personnel administration) to calculate all statutory and non-statutory additions and deductions for employees. Retroactive accounting can also be used to automatically recalculate payroll if changes to master data or time data has occurred in periods where payroll processing has been completed.  SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes weekly, fortnightly and monthly based payrolls, EFT, pay scale increases, simulations, claims management, gross and net calculations, tax calculations (PAYG, HECS, additional, adjustments, rebates, exemptions, retroactive adjustments), super calculation, payslips, manual payments, payroll tax and works compensation calculation, Year End processing, ATO file and payment summaries, G/L integration with drill down, termination workbench, payroll results and reporting.

Personnel Development

By defining a common language for describing the skills, knowledge and abilities of interest to a company, Personnel Development provides the support to recognise, promote, search and capitalise on the potential of employee’s to fulfil current or future business requirements.   SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes Qualifications/skills catalogue structure, Proficiency descriptions and scales, Employee profile, Profile Match up, reporting and searches, integration with Training & Events management, basic objective setting and appraisal template.

Management by Objectives (MBO)

MBO is a critical component of the appraisal process. SLIM™ Essential HR enables managers to integrate and align company-employee goals and objectives by defining concrete and measurable objectives to accomplish within a fixed time period.  MBO is a dynamic system which can be used to plan, implement, obtain feedback and evaluate business processes.

Training & Events Management

Training and Event Management facilitates the planning, managing and evaluation of internal and external business events such as training and conventions. Principal data on event prerequisites, objectives, contents and time schedules is stored as a template. In addition, information on pricing, capacity and locations can be defined to support billing and budget planning. SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes Training course catalogue, Day-to-Day activities, Recurring activities and standard reporting.

Recruitment

With the demand for talent rising and the supply decreasing, businesses need to provide a rapid and responsive approach to recruitment. The Recruitment component helps support an effective recruitment strategy by providing the necessary data and functions to work through the entire recruitment process.  SLIM™ Essential HR functionality includes vacancy management, unsolicited applicant management, applicant administration with basic personal and contact data, advertisement content management, applicant correspondence, integration to Personnel Administration to hire.
