Supply Chain Consulting is seeking a proactive and result driven presales consultant to assist the sales director to drive license sales of the Viewlocity products in South East Asia. The successful candidate requires strong domain and technical expertise in supply chain and logistics and preferably experience in selling and implementing supply chain solutions in the Asia Pacific market place.

Criteria:

The Presales Consultant will be tasked with supporting the sale of Supply Chain Consulting’s products and implementation offerings across Asia Pacific with a South East Asia focus. Primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Leverage supply chain knowledge and consulting skills to facilitate the development of extended supply chain solutions for prospective customers
• Define solution related use cases, configure the product and conduct demonstrations to prospects
• Identify project scope and prepare proposals to meet client specifications
• Receive, analyse and assist with responding to tenders, Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals, effectively utilising available global  resources
• Create business case scenarios and prepare financial pricing models to support solution proposals
• Configure applications for customer specific product demonstrations supporting proposed supply chain solutions
• Analysis and description of customer specific requirements and high-level implementation plans
• Perform ongoing assessment, analysis and improvement of customers’ supply chain
• Presentation of solutions to potential customers
• The Pre-sales Consultant may be asked to support implementations in the region on a periodic basis

General Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supply chain consulting or similar internal business role with exposure to business processes improvements and the application of enabling technologies
• Minimum 5 years experience within CPG, manufacturing or logistics organizations in a supply chain role
• Minimum 3 years experience configuring and implementing supply chain or similar technologies, ideally associated with the technical requirements outlined below
• Experience with global supply chains, trading partner integration and messaging standards (EDI, Rosettanet) will be regarded highly
• Ability to work with members of the senior management team to set strategies and mange sales processes
• Ability to function effectively in virtual teams that could be across the region or around the world
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization (oral and written)
• Strong analytical aptitude, ability to perform analyses where information is difficult or impractical to obtain
• Good consultative selling skills, Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English
• Ability to travel extensively - up to 50%

Technical requirements

This role is equally technical in nature and it is required that the candidate has, at a minimum, sound working level experience with the following technologies:

• Any programming languages, for example Java, C, C++, shell script, is desirable. Java knowledge is preferred.
• XML/XSLT, html and ISP technologies
• J2EE development environment and components preferably in a Weblogic or Websphere environment
• SQL language
• Oracle databases
